Field of expertise: family law, inheritance law, labor and social security law, administrative law, litigation, labelling of food and non-food consumer goods and services, commercial law, contract law  

Kristiyana provides legal advice regarding the applicable local and European legislation on labeling, food safety and quality management in the production and marketing of food and non-food consumer goods and services. 

She also provides opinions on the requirements of the Bulgarian and the European environmental legislation. 

Kristiyana has experience in the conclusion of out-of-court settlements and court settlements on legal disputes in the fields of family law, inheritance law and labor law. She has participated in numerous proceedings for contestation of statutory instruments of secondary legislation under the statutory procedure. 

On top of that she has successfully completed training on issues related to arbitration at the Court of Arbitration at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

In 2022 Kristiyana received Certificates for successfully completed trainings on “Legal aspects of mandatory case law under the Act on the Liability for Damage Incurred by the State and the Municipalities” and on “Claims Against the State for Breaches of EU Law”. 

Prior to joining us she was a legal intern of the Fulbright program, which gave her the opportunity to work together with judges of Sofia city court. She also took part in the project Legal barometer – a citizens’ initiative for monitoring, analyzing and assessing Bulgarian legislation by writing articles and composing analyzes of laws and bills.Â
